What gets recorded
What is captured
Section titled “What is captured”The contents of the pages you open in the recording window, what you do there, and the URLs you visit. They are stored on Autest servers and used to generate the specification and test cases.
What is hidden automatically
Section titled “What is hidden automatically”Only these two.
- Password fields, and only where the site has built them as dedicated password fields
- File pickers
Everything else you type, and all the text on screen, is captured as-is. That includes card numbers, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses.
What is not captured
Section titled “What is not captured”- Tabs and windows other than the recording window
- Your normal browsing history, saved site sign-ins and saved passwords
- Anything you do while not recording
Why an Incognito window
Section titled “Why an Incognito window”In a normal window, autofilled personal data, screens where you are signed in to other services, and content injected by other extensions would end up in the capture. To avoid that, recording always happens in a clean Incognito window.
That also means your usual sign-ins and autofill are not carried over. If the site you are recording needs a sign-in, sign in inside the recording window — with a dummy account.
See section 8 of the privacy policy for details.
